Community service is core to SIM AZ’s values and mission. Just a few hours of your time can have a tremendous impact on the lives of those who could use an extra serving of kindness. On Thursday, March 28, 2019, SIM members have been given the opportunity to really make a difference!
Can you donate a few hours to volunteer to serve dinner at St. Vincent de Paul’s main campus? It is located at 420 W. Watkins Road in Phoenix, and the time commitment is from 3:00 pm until 6:30 pm. This includes a tour of the facility so that you will be able to see this worthy institution’s integral importance to the community.
If you wish to contribute beyond your time, a donation of a package or two of new undergarments are greatly welcomed and appreciated. As a thank you, all volunteers are welcome to join us at Galvanize for refreshments afterward. Galvanize is located at 515 E. Grant St. and less than 2 miles from St. Vincent de Paul. If you would like to bring a smile to those less fortunate, and you are able to serve a dinner plate (restaurant style) to the tables, SIM members, spouses, and business colleagues are encouraged to participate in this worthwhile event. Treating someone with respect and kindness restores dignity to a person and that is a SIMply wonderful goal. Please RSVP to your SIM email invitation as soon as you are able.

About St. Vincent de Paul
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) serves over 1.2 million meals a year across five dining rooms around the valley. The facility for our event is special as it is one of the largest commercial kitchens in the valley. It houses SVdP’s food reclamation center (food drive distribution to food pantries), a homeless shelter, an urban farm and an impressive medical and dental clinic.
