July 12 Newsletter

Welcome to the New SIMCAC Weekly Newsletter....
....Where each week, we'll share SIMCAC announcements, member spotlights, local/national industry news, upcoming events, and recaps of past ones!

A message from our Board Chair, Michael Huthwaite, about the new SIMCAC website:

Dear SIMCAC Members;

We have been working over the last several months to develop and implement a new web site with new functionality. We are always driven to provide the best experience possible for our members, and we are happy to announce that we are ready to begin using our new website.

On July 16th, the way that you use your Chapter site will change. After we migrate, we will send you a link to set up your new login, password and profile. The link that you use to get to your Chapter site will stay the same, but your old login will be retired. The new site is updated, with the flexibility that we need to continue to stay up to date.

Please familiarize yourself with the new site. We are deploying new tools that provide a faster and easier experience for members, and we are planning to continue implement new tools and functionality after we go live. One of the first changes that you'll notice is that you can now update your profile with your LinkedIn profile. You will also use the site to get Chapter News, renew your membership, and register for upcoming events.

If you have any questions or if you experience any issues in setting up your new profile, please contact sim@simnet.org.

We are excited to launch our new site along with new functionality! We will continue to implement changes throughout the year and into the future to bring you new ways to interact, attend events, and manage your information.

Thanks,

Michael Huthwaite

Same event, different date and place! The Inaugural SIMCAC Charity Golf Outing will now take place on October 15th at Westfields Golf Club in Clifton, VA.

One of our core principles in SIMCAC is to give back to our community. As part of that commitment, a portion of the proceeds from this golf outing will fund our various Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM) partners. Our donations fund programs for young students, high school graduates, and programs to train teachers on educating students in the STEM areas.

We have worked diligently to put together a stimulating and focused agenda, bringing together experts, visionaries and professionals from the IT industry. Visit the official event website for more information and registration.
