SIMCAC February Event: Exclusive CxO Roundtable Breakfast Tuesday, 2/25, 7:30-9:30 AM Museum of the Bible 400 4th Street, SW., Washington DC Attention current and prospective members, SIMCAC will be hosting its first CxO exclusive event (exclusive to CIOs/CTOs/CDOs/CISOs or otherwise heads of IT/Technology/Cybersecurity at their companies). If you are a current or prospective member that meets that criteria, we encourage you to attend. Special thanks to Michael Weygandt, CIO of the Museum of the Bible. Michael is a SIMCAC member, and he has agreed to host this roundtable in the museum. He has also arranged for a "behind the scenes" tour of the museum's main exhibits and supporting technologies, which will commence immediately after the roundtable. In addition, attendees will be provided free admission to the museum on the day of the breakfast, just in case any attendees opt to spend additional time there. While our roundtables are designed to provide an open and interactive opportunity for discussion amongst peers, the following agenda has been prepared to help focus discussion and make the event as fruitful as possible for attendees. Cybersecurity in 2020 – Protecting and Securing your Business Culture Today, there is non-stop news about security events/breaches at companies across the world, and every technology executive needs to be on top of what they mean to their organizations. Attendees of this facilitated roundtable will discuss:
- How are your cybersecurity practices perceived within your organization, from the C-Suite to bottom-line staff?
- Given all the challenges with mobile device management, BYOD, and remote work, what defenses and controls have you implemented in your environment for protection?
- Regarding your cybersecurity practices, what has worked and what hasn't worked?
- Do you have executive buy-in around your cybersecurity program? Do you have any best practices around educating the C-Suite and/or the Board?
