SIM CFL donates $10,000 to high school robotics team

SIM Central Florida has presented a $10,000 Award Letter to Colonial High School's Robotics Team to help purchase materials and pay for travel to the National Robotics Competition. The Orange county Colonial High School's Robotics Team participated in a regional robotics competition March 9-10, 2018 at the UCF Arena. Beatrice the robot is really excited to be in the competition and has our SIM logo proudly displayed. 

“SIM Central Florida strongly believes in giving back to our community, to students and to our various fields of industry,” said Craig Loftin, president of the SIM Central Florida chapter. “We are pleased to award this gift to local high school students, to strengthen the talents of these future professionals in the STEM workforce pipeline throughout our greater Orlando area. “

Over the past ten years, SIM Central Florida has donated more than $150,000 throughout the Central Florida community via STEM-related scholarships awarded to regional college and university students, STEM-related grants and gifts to local K-12 and post-secondary institutions, and programming and technology assistance to local elementary, middle school and high school teachers and students. In 2017 alone, SIM Central Florida's philanthropic efforts have
