Tom Cahill is an Executive Partner with Gartner Executive Programs in the Western Region of the U.S.  His responsibilities include providing value-adding expertise and counsel to members, guiding members to exploit Gartner’s high-quality events and programs, working with the entire Gartner delivery team in meeting member requirements, ensuring member success, and contributing to Gartner research excellence.  

Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Cahill served in a range of IT roles, including DBA, strategic planning, data center operations, program management and CIO with FMC Technologies. His experience includes architecting a transformational reorganization of a 550-employee IT function, implementing a global ERP deployment across 17 countries with more than 20,000 users, initiating a digital enterprise strategy by implementing an enterprise information management function creating a common data layer for data analytics and management decision support, and building out a global Cyber Security and Compliance Center of Excellence geared for prevention and rapid incident response.  Mr. Cahill earned a BS in Political Science and an MS in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from the Mays Graduate School of Business at Texas A&M University.
