  1. Share a fun personal fact:

In addition to my professional career, I am a retired professional angler of 17 years and still have a passion for fishing in my spare time.

  1. How long have you been a SIM member?

My late friend and client Jeff Langfeldt brought me into SIM in 2002 and recruited me into the programs committee in 2003.

  1. Why do you invest your time in SIM?

To create new and maintain long lasting relationships. Networking and finding new ways to provide value.

  1. What is one of the most important lessons you’ve learned in your career?

Never to discount anyone large or small and always go into a conversation with an open heart and mind focused on creating value for all.

  1. Tell us about an impactful SIM event that you’ve attended, and what you took away from it.

There are too many to be able to pick one out, seeing I’ve been doing this for 20 years.

  1. What is one goal you have for 2021?

Catch a 10 pound walleyeJ. Ensure a seamless transition for SIM in my stepping back into retirement

  1. If you could have 1 day with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?

My grandfather, who I was the last person to see alive back in 1985. We never were able to go fishing together more than once.

  1. How will we remember you?

Dedicated to the organization over two decades through good and bad times. Willing to do whatever it took to make SIM MN successful.
