CONNECT. LEAD. GIVE. SIMNY committees are designed to have specific focus points that advance the agenda of the organization. The current committees are as follows:
ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
Focused on cultivating the technology agenda in academia.
MARKETING
Marketing strategies and external communications for the chapter, including social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Twitter) and the website design, social media and digital content.
MEMBERSHIP
Recruitment of new members and leadership of the overall SIMNY chapter application process.
MEMBERSHIP RETENTION
Focused on existing members and their engagement, as well as ensuring personal connections are growing and thriving. Also runs the annual membership dues drive.

NATIONAL PROGRAMS
Liaison with SIM National programs, including the Regional Leadership Forums (RLF), SIMposium, Advanced Practices Council (APC) and Special Interest Groups (SIG)
OUTREACH
Focused on advancing SIM’s value proposition to connect IT leaders with opportunities to give back to their communities via various avenues.
PARTNERSHIPS
Manages relationships with new and existing vendor partners that SIMNY engages with.
PLANNING
Manages activities in support of meeting logistics, including audio visual and Zoom recording and operations.
PROGRAMS
Manages the content of the monthly chapter meetings including the development of the annual program agenda topics and with the appropriate speakers.
TECHNOLOGY
Develop and maintain various technology platforms to facilitate the operations and activities for SIMNY, including the website, and communications and collaboration tools.
