Help us "bridge" our knowledge and financial capabilities with those in need in the Philadelphia area! We'd love to have you participate!
Donate your time to PHISIM activities or PHISIM itself. We're always looking for volunteers to help in our educational and mentoring efforts with youth. You could donate an hour to speak at the Teen Tech Camp or visit a college class to speak about your career in technology. You could support the PHISIM Board or volunteer at one of our fund raising events. If you can find the time, we'll find a way to put it to good use!
Of course, helping to fund our programs is always welcome. Every little bit helps and it is tax deductible as PHISIM is a 501(c) 3 charitable foundation. Click on the Donation link or mail checks to PHISIM Foundation, 235 Amherst Dr, Doylestown, PA 18901.
A SPECIAL NOTE FOR SIM PHILADELPHIA MEMBERS:
We are seeking your help and participation in growing the finances of PHISIM so that we can add programs, increase scholarship levels, and thereby increase the value of PHISIM in the community.
What we ask each SIM member to do is easy to execute, takes very little of your time, yet can produce a great return. We ask that you look within your respective company's charitable gifts program for the possibility of including PHISIM.
One member related this experience: "When I discussed this with my company's CFO I was surprised how easy it was to obtain a donation to PHISIM. I approached our CFO not knowing what charitable donations the company made, or what kind of response I would get; but a simple question was all that was needed. Realizing it was worth the shot, I took some of the collateral about PHISIM (that is available on the website), and discussed the possibility of a corporate donation with my CFO. It took about 5 minutes of my time and the reward was substantial; and I'm in position to discuss with him again next year!"
If you ask the question in your company, what's the worst response you could receive? A "No" or "Can't do it now"? Please consider this approach with your respective leadership. You may be surprised at the outcome! If you would like to discuss this approach with any Board member, contact them through emails listed on the main PHISIM page. Thank you in advance for your support!
