Evolution of AI to Where We are Now
Peter Voss, a trailblazing figure in AI who coined the term ‘Artificial General Intelligence’ (AGI) in 2002. He is the CEO and Chief Scientist at Aigo.ai. Peter has been on a mission for more than 20 years to bring the benefits of Human-Level AI (AGI) to the world. This technology promises to optimize human flourishing by dramatically reducing the costs of most goods and services, radically accelerating critical scientific research, and by providing hyper-personalized assistants. These assistants will serve as private and trusted advisors, helping individuals make better life choices and get things done.
Peter is an Innovator, Serial Entrepreneur, CEO, Engineer, and Scientist. Peter is also a highly sought keynote speaker for AI conferences worldwide.
He started his first ERP company at 25 and took the company from garage to a 400-person IPO in seven years.
After selling his interest in the company in 1990s, he studied a broad range of disciplines -- cognitive science, philosophy and theory of knowledge, psychology, intelligence and learning theory, and computer science -- which served as the foundation for achieving breakthroughs in artificial intelligence.
Peter and team have developed a brain-like Cognitive AI and successfully commercialized it in call centers. This proven, industry-beating technology does not suffer the limitations of Statistical and Generative AI systems. It is fully scrutable, explainable, accurate and predictable, and does not require massive data and computing resources to train.
The company now has a detailed plan to extend this core technology to full human-level cognitive ability. This radically different approach is reviewed in this new white paper: Concepts Is All You Need: A More Direct Path to AGI
French Poet Victor Hugo once said that “Nothing is More Powerful than an Idea whose Time has Come.”
Achieving Human-Level AI is that idea and the time has come.
Peter is now leading a major new initiative to rapidly close the gap to achieve human-level AI.
Peter often writes and presents on various philosophical topics including rational ethics, freewill and artificial minds; and is deeply involved with futurism and radical life-extension.
