Member Career Development

Focus:

Member Career Development (MCD) is one of the many benefits provided to SIM Boston members.  While MCD is a resource for SIM members who are actively searching for a new role, it is also intended for members who are currently employed and would like to enhance the skills needed to further their careers. 

Value:

• Explore the steps to career change and development in a safe and constructive environment.
• Deliver and critique 30-second professional summaries (“elevator pitches”).
• Share their recent search activities and the search activities they have scheduled for the next 30 days.
• Make specific requests for assistance from meeting participants.
• Offer assistance to other members of the discussion.

Format:

MCD meetings are a Technology Leadership Series pre-event. These meetings have a dynamic structure and can range from having keynote speakers, to group discussions.

Attendance:

5-20 attendees. SIM Members who are currently employed as well as those seeking a new role.
