Who Can Join

To qualify for SIM San Antonio membership, applicants should generally fit one of the following categories. Applications are reviewed by our Membership Committee to ensure alignment with SIM's mission and membership criteria.

Practitioner

Typical titles: CIO, CTO, CDO, CISO, VP, or Director

Senior technology professionals responsible for influencing technology direction in their organization.

Must lead or support corporate or divisional technology strategy.

Academic

Typical titles: Dean, Department Chair, Professor, Associate Professor, Adjunct Professor

Full-time faculty members making significant contribution to the technology field

Departments: Information Science, MIS, Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering

Consultant

Typical titles: Partner, Principal Consultant, Contract CIO, Virtual CIO, VP/Director of Consulting

Leaders at the partner/principal level who influence technology direction for their company or their clients' company.

Sales professionals, account executives, and business development professionals are not eligible

Other Technology Leaders

Typical titles: CEO, President, CFO, COO, CMO, Partner, Principal
