Vision

By fostering inclusion, providing mentorship, promoting leadership, and creating visible, impactful programs, SIM South Carolina Women can become the go-to community for women in technology across South Carolina. With a clear value proposition and targeted outreach, the network will attract, retain, and empower more women to lead and innovate in tech.

Dining With Our Daughters

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us yesterday in Summerville, South Carolina, for our SIM South Carolina Women's “Dining with Our Daughters” event. It was a meaningful and inspiring gathering, and your presence made it truly special.

A heartfelt thank you to our speaker, Brenna Lawrence, Founder of Hey! Hold That Door!, for sharing such powerful insights and encouragement. Your message resonated deeply and added tremendous value to the experience.

We were especially delighted to welcome the daughters who attended. Seeing the next generation engaged, curious, and included in these conversations is exactly what this event is all about. Creating space for connection, mentorship, and inspiration across generations is something we are proud to foster.

Thank you again to everyone who participated and to Poogan’s Southern Kitchen and their staff, who helped make this event memorable. We look forward to continuing to grow this community together.

Women Lunch & Learn

Thank you to the incredible partnership and participation from our tech community, South Carolina Competes, and NextGen.

A huge thank you to Jamie DeMent from South Carolina Competes for sharing her insights, energy, and real-world perspective with us – your message sparked great conversation around the room and gave us plenty to think about as we continue growing women’s leadership in technology across South Carolina.

We are deeply grateful to NextGen for hosting us in their beautiful space and making everyone feel so welcome.  The venue, hospitality, and behind-the-scenes support helped create the perfect environment for learning, networking, and connection.

To everyone who joined us:  thank you for spending your lunch hour investing in yourselves and each other.  We’re excited to keep building on the momentum from yesterday and can’t wait to see you at our next SIM South Carolina Women event.

Hockey for Her

SIM South Carolina Women had an incredible time at Sunday’s Hockey For Her event, and we are so grateful to our sponsors who made it possible.

Huge thanks to Opkalla for championing women in technology and for investing in meaningful ways to connect beyond the boardroom. Thank you to Needling Worldwide for your continued support of SIM South Carolina Women and for helping us increase visibility and opportunities for women leaders across our community.  And a very special thank you to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits Hockey organization for hosting us at Bon Secours Wellness Arena and creating such a fun, empowering Hockey For Her experience.

Because of partners like you, we’re able to build stronger networks, celebrate women in leadership, and introduce more women to the excitement of Swamp Rabbits hockey—on and off the ice.

Strong Women, Strong Coffee

SIM South Carolina Women’s “Strong Coffee, Strong Women” at Coffee Underground was such an energizing way to start the day. We filled that cozy, iconic Greenville spot with laughter, candid conversations, and plenty of caffeine-fueled encouragement.

From swapping leadership stories to making new connections across roles and companies, the room buzzed with women showing up for themselves and for each other. Huge thanks to Coffee Underground in downtown Greenville, South Carolina, for the warm atmosphere and delicious coffee and pastries that kept the ideas flowing.

Wine And Whine

The SIM South Carolina Women’s “Wine and Whine” event at Uncork in Charleston was absolutely wonderful—exactly the kind of evening that reminds us why this community matters. From the first pour to the last conversation, the atmosphere at Uncork’s relaxed, wine-forward space on King Street gave us the perfect backdrop to unwind, share real stories, and reconnect with women leading across technology and business in South Carolina.

We laughed, we vented, we celebrated wins big and small—and left feeling a little lighter and a lot more supported. Huge thanks to the Uncork team for taking such great care of us and creating a warm, welcoming space for meaningful connection. Here’s to more evenings like this as SIM South Carolina Women continues to grow across the state.

Launch Event

What an incredible night in Columbia, South Carolina! On February 27th, SIM South Carolina Women launched in style at Smoked on Main Street, and the energy in the room from the amazing women in technology who joined us was unforgettable.

From meaningful conversations to plenty of laughs over great food and cocktails, the evening was the perfect blend of connection and inspiration in one of downtown Columbia’s most beautiful settings. A huge thank you to our special guest speaker, Chetna Jain, Director of IT for SLED, for sharing her leadership journey and insights on serving South Carolina through technology and innovation.

This is just the beginning for SIM SC Women, and we’re excited to keep building this community of leaders, mentors, and rising stars across the state
