Western New York state has a significant presence when it comes to IT thought-leadership, innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit, but with the immense pool of technology talent in this area, there was no single organization that pulled us together to allow us to collaborate and support our community of professionals.
The Western New York SIM Chapter fulfills this need. Our mission is to foster a community of like-minded IT professionals, promote seamless sharing of knowledge, leadership practices, and provide support for our members' management and use of technology in the best interests of business and academia in Western New York.
Ultimately, our intent is to be recognized as the community that is most preferred by IT leaders for delivering vital knowledge that creates business value and enables personal development for IT executives and academia in the Western New York area.

Volunteers from the Western NY SIM Chapter gathered to donate their time to Foodlink, sorting food donations gathered from area organizations and residents. The Chapter also donated $5,000 to Foodlink in support of their on-going mission to combat hunger and build healthier communities in Rochester and surrounding areas.
