Seminar: Business Applications of Blockchain
In this session we will use business (non-technical) terminology in order to simply explain Blockchain Technology and try to answer why it is considered by so many experts to be so disruptive. We will present real-life examples of projects in which the technology is used and implemented today, and discuss its potential to disrupt and change our working world in the future. Finally, we will present EY's vision for the technology and discuss "5 tests to what makes a good Blockchain use case."
Dinner: A Survey of U.S. Domestic Security and Privacy Laws: The Evolving Landscape
The US legal framework for cybersecurity and data privacy continues to evolve, trying to stay abreast of the ever evolving and changing technologies. In the past year, State and Federal regulatory changes have altered the legal and compliance obligations of many companies across a variety of industries. Additionally, the courts are starting to adopt opinions that have placed more liability on companies for the protection of sensitive personal data. This presentation will provide an overview of key regulatory and legal changes, at both the State and Federal level, and will also discuss how companies should prepare to meet these evolving obligations.
