A Letter from SIM Advanced Practices Council Program Director, Madeline Weiss
Why is Advanced Practices Council for CIOs unique? Our research agenda is directed by our members and conducted by top independent researchers worldwide. We limit membership to 40 CIOs and our members currently include C-suite executives from companies like Penske, BP, Moody's, Pfizer, Allstate, Aetna, ConocoPhillips, Kodak Alaris and organizations like NASA, FEMA, International Monetary Fund. We have a strict no sales policy. Our members learn together, confide in one another, work collaboratively to solve problems, and build long-lasting friendships. As you know, it's lonely at the top and a trusted network of respected and generous peers is essential. Members receive help in finding jobs, hiring staff, working with boards, and leveraging leading-edge technologies such as blockchain and AI to achieve greater organization value. Our June 13-14 meeting is in Cambridge, Mass. Do you want to participate as a guest (at no cost) to experience the program? We have a few membership openings for 2019. Most of the sessions at the June meeting will be led by Harvard Business School and MIT professors. Topics will include: power of people and computers thinking together; digital twinning; building a learning organization; effective teaming; , and strategy, sales, growth and the business model. We will also visit MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab and DesignX. Advanced Practices Council is like no other CIO program. Be our guest on June 13th and 14th - and experience the reason why. We hope to see you there. Regards, Madeline Weiss Director, Advanced Practices Council 301.229.8062 | madeline.weiss@simnet.org
