SIM Charlotte is where IT professionals connect, learn, and support the local STEM community. Relationship building, professional development opportunities, and community outreach in the form of STEM education are the organization's three pillars. These combine to create a dynamic and growing network that strengthens the entire region and contributes to the economic engine that powers Charlotte its surrounding area.

We have grown to over 180 members and are proud that 85+% of our members are in senior purchasing and hiring technology roles. SIM Charlotte is a great supporter of local STEM education programs, sponsoring scholarships and academic initiatives in local K-12 schools, universities, summer camps, and adult and minority education programs. Over the past decade we have raised and distributed over $750,000 to local STEM scholarships and nonprofits, and have granted more than $100,000 each of the past three years!

We hold quarterly in-person meetings, and have added social and several small group events to our calendar. Our annual spring golf tournament and fall Executive IT Leadership Summit provide additional opportunities to network, expand your professional development, and provide a positive impact on local STEM nonprofits.

We’ll be adding more programming and offering more informal networking opportunities while building upon last year’s successes. Connect. Learn. Grow. Lead.
