President's Message

SIM Charlotte – President’s Message (2023-24)

Thank you for spending a few minutes to learn how SIM CLT benefits our community and how you can contribute and benefit yourself.

SIM’s positive impact for me has been truly palpable.  Our diverse group of technology leaders bring together collective talents and passions to benefit our communities and experience growth and gain perspective ourselves.  It’s fitting that when we focus on helping others, somehow, we ourselves benefit.

I started my SIM journey as a tech nerd grown up and into leadership. Without a foundation of support outside my employer I struggled with resources and motivation to ‘be all I could be’. I joined SIM to expand my network but the support, opportunity, and relationships gained improved me as a leader.

Members In Transition (MIT) and the golf tournament is how I initially got involved, but there are many paths:

  • Dinners w/ guest panels & speakers
  • Socials (informal by locale)
  • Golf Tournament STEM fundraiser
  • Executive IT Leadership Summits
  • Members in Transition virtual & in-person breakfasts
  • Volunteer Opportunities with 20+ area non-profits
We’re adding more opportunities while building upon last year’s successes.  Visit our LinkedIn page to learn about recent activities and connect with our members. Click Join, above, to learn more about SIM Charlotte and apply for membership.

Connect. Learn. Grow. Lead.
