About SIM Houston



Recognizing the unique needs of the industry, SIM collects the intellectual capital of IT leaders nationwide and offers the resources you need to do business better, including: 

  • Face-to-Face meetings/networking – Monthly chapter meetings with member networking, dinner and exclusive content every 3rd Tuesday of the month 

  • Partnerships – SIM Houston partners with several of the CIO conference organizations, such as the Houston Business Journal, and other conference organizations.

  • Career Development – In combination with the national SIM Leadership Institute, this is a group of peers locally and nationally to advance your career and provide support and advice to help you land your next position. The meetings occur on the 3rd Thursday of every month. 

  • Outreach – SIM is aligned to with the local STEM programs to encourage and enable students to join and contribute to the Information Technology profession.  SIM strongly supports several organizations that help provide scholarships to students and foster technology innovations.

  • SIM Women – SIM Women is part of the organization led by well-established women IT leaders in Houston who support the engagement of women in IT through networking and mentoring.



Our Members

Membership in the SIM Houston Chapter continues to grow, as well as the number of educational, community, and social program activities. 

For enterprises who wish to have multiple members, discounts are offered with the enterprise membership of 3 members or more.

We encourage all of our members to  invite a new IT executive practitioner as a guest to our Chapter meetings.
