The SIM Memphis chapter met at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library in the CLOUD901 Teen Learning Lab.
We had an action-packed night which includes the following activities:
An interactive tour of the state-of-the-art Teen Learning Lab, where teens ages 13-18 can develop 21st century skills including innovation, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving through the video and audio production labs, editing and mixing stations, a performance area, a maker space, and plenty of collaboration and homework zones.
- We heard a brief overview of the Memphis Public Library programs focused on education and STEM.
- There were interactive presentations by students that participate in the Teen Tech Camps that our SIM Chapter helps fund through our Community Outreach program.
