Breakout: IT Innovation and Education

The Memphis Business Journal sat in on a session at the 33rd annual Memphis Strategy Series for Executives and highlighted IP’s commitment to IT in a recent article.   The SIM Strategy Series serves as a resource for the IT executive community with a full docket of programming that covered everything from cybersecurity to blockchain.

Alan Myers, director, IT talked briefly
chronicling two IP initiatives that started in 2014 and 2015, IT Innovation and IT University. IT Innovation is aimed at speeding up innovation and making connections within the company and IT University provides college-like courses online and in-person for employees. Myers talked about how facilitation, methodologies, technologies and education are the four areas, that when combined, drive IP’s innovation.

“It is a visible symbol to our IT organization that we are serious about innovation, and it’s a visible symbol to our business customers that something is going on in IT around innovation,” Myers said.
