“A somewhat random, but purposeful career walk down Wall Street”

Please join us in an informal dialogue with Board member, Susan Certoma and Host Board Member, Beverly Lieberman.

We will get candid answers to questions about Susan’s career, key influencers, leadership challenges and, life-changing decisions.

She will talk about the skills and experiences that prepared her to navigate a highly diversified career spanning executive leadership roles and top tier firms: Head of Sales / Trading Technology – Goldman Sachs, CIO - Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo), President- Broadridge and most recently, President - EEI. We will also hear how Susan acquired a Board position at Southwest Power Pool, a major Energy Organization responsible for the bulk electric grid and wholesale power market in the central United States.

Did Susan have a career plan? What obstacles did she overcome? Are there things she would have done differently? What was it really like to grow up on Wall Street – are the stories true? How do women succeed in a male dominated industry? What happens when career advancement and value systems are mis-aligned?

We will also learn how Susan manages the demands of an all-consuming career vs. her family and friends. We will talk about how she manages stress and re-energizes herself.  Who are her role models?  How does she envision her career over the next five years?

All our members will enjoy a lively, informative discussion. In addition, this is an opportunity for our members to invite their women IT professionals to learn and engage with Susan about career development and growth.

Fireside chats have been among our best attended programs.  This will be our fourth in a row and Susan is following a distinguished series that included Jeanette Horan, Sigal Zarmi and Michelle Garvey.

We hope you can join us for an evening of insight, inspiration and fun.  We will leave adequate time for members to ask questions.
