Meet Colette Rubio and her experience with SIM’s Members in Transition (MIT) program”

Colette Rubio is a long-standing SIM member and is the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Technology at the World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., d/b/a WWE, located in Stamford, CT.

The WWE is an American integrated media and entertainment company that is primarily known for professional wrestling. WWE has also branched out into other fields, including movies, real estate, and various other business ventures.

In 2000 while working at Time Warner, Inc. as the Vice President, IT Systems Development, Colette joined the New York SIM chapter. Colette quickly became a very active member and served as a board member leading its marketing subcommittee.

In 2016 Colette decided to take time off from her work life and focus on her personal priorities. Colette prioritized spending quality time with her family while also keeping a focus on her professional life of which SIM was an instrumental component. Once Colette was ready to venture back into the work force, she became an active participant of the MIT (‘Members in Transition’) program. The program provided her an interactive forum to learn about leads, opportunities and gain advice. Through this she had the opportunity to meet many IT professionals and expand her network.

In 2017, Colette accepted an offer to join the WWE which also involved relocating her family from Long Island, NY to Stamford, CT. Once she and her family settled in their new residence, Colette joined FWSIM. Colette is currently a board member and an active member of the membership retention subcommittee.

Colette has also served in various IT leadership positions at HBO, BD, Inc., Pepsico, and Ernst & Young. She holds an MBA, International Business from Pace University and a BBA, Computer Systems from Baruch College.

In addition to her IT professional career, Colette enjoys spending time outdoors especially at the beaches of Long Island or exploring Manhattan’s many restaurants, museums and shows.
