Senior Director Commercial/Salesforce for News America Marketing

Montos Vakirtzis is the Senior Director Commercial/Salesforce for News America Marketing located in Wilton, CT.

News America Marketing (NAM) is the premier marketing partner of some of the world’s most well-known brands. Its broad network of shopper media, incentive platforms, and custom merchandising services influences the purchasing decisions of online and offline shoppers across the U.S. and Canada.

His responsibilities include the creation, ownership and implementation of the overall Commercial/Salesforce roadmap and its alignment with key business needs. In addition, he directly manages the Salesforce development team responsible for project delivery; ensuring system(s) stability; introduction of new system capabilities; and the technical vision to support NAM’s growth strategy. Montos is passionate about staying close to the business and partnering with key stakeholders to solve and enable business goals.

Montos joined FWSIM in 2015 and quickly became a very active member. In addition to participating in the monthly meetings, he enjoys volunteering his time to support the Westchester Mentor Circle, as well as author and assist in the coordination of Spotlight articles.

“SIM provides me with the resources to learn and stay current with relevant topics. In addition, it gives me the opportunity to develop my personal brand, grow my network and friends. It continuously helps me both professionally, personally and enables me to help others.” - Montos Vakirtzis

In addition to volunteering for FWSIM, he also serves on two appointed boards: City of Beacon Ethics Committee and SUNY Oswego’s Engineering Advisory Board.

On a personal note, Montos was born in Greece and immigrated to the United States at a young age. Growing up in an immigrant family exposed Montos to multiple cultures where he developed his understanding and appreciation for diversity. Montos earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from SUNY Oswego and a Master of Science degree in Software Development from Marist College.

When Montos is not working or volunteering, he enjoys spending time with his wife Fran of 30 years, and their children Christina (27) and her husband Josh (28), Eleni (22), and Panagiotis (19). He enjoys fine dining, micro-breweries, spending time with family and friends, and cruising on his motorcycle where he is a regular attendee at the annual Americade motorcycle rally in Lake George, NY.
