We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us yesterday in Summerville, SC, for our SIM SC Women's “Dining with Our Daughters” event. It was a meaningful and inspiring gathering, and your presence made it truly special.

A heartfelt thank you to our speaker, Brenna Lawrence, Founder of Hey! Hold That Door!, for sharing such powerful insights and encouragement. Your message resonated deeply and added tremendous value to the experience.

We were especially delighted to welcome the daughters who attended. Seeing the next generation engaged, curious, and included in these conversations is exactly what this event is all about. Creating space for connection, mentorship, and inspiration across generations is something we are proud to foster.

Thank you again to everyone who participated and to Poogan’s Southern Kitchen and their staff, who helped make this event memorable. We look forward to continuing to grow this community together.

SIM SC Women Lunch & Learn

Thank you to the incredible partnership and participation from our tech community, SC Competes, and NextGen. 

A huge thank you to Jamie DeMent from SC Competes for sharing her insights, energy, and real-world perspective with us – your message sparked great conversation around the room and gave us plenty to think about as we continue growing women’s leadership in technology across South Carolina.

We are deeply grateful to NextGen for hosting us in their beautiful space and making everyone feel so welcome.  The venue, hospitality, and behind-the-scenes support helped create the perfect environment for learning, networking, and connection.

Hockey for Her

SIM SC Women had an incredible time at Sunday’s Hockey For Her event, and we are so grateful to our sponsors who made it possible.

Strong Women, Strong Coffee

SIM SC Women’s “Strong Coffee, Strong Women” at Coffee Underground was such an energizing way to start the day. We filled that cozy, iconic Greenville spot with laughter, candid conversations, and plenty of caffeine-fueled encouragement.

From swapping leadership stories to making new connections across roles and companies, the room buzzed with women showing up for themselves and for each other. Huge thanks to Coffee Underground in downtown Greenville, SC, for the warm atmosphere and delicious coffee and pastries that kept the ideas flowing.

If you missed this one, keep an eye out for the next SIM SC Women gathering—you’ll want to pull up a chair at the table next time.

Wine and Whine

The SIM SC Women’s “Wine and Whine” event at Uncork in Charleston was absolutely wonderful—exactly the kind of evening that reminds us why this community matters. From the first pour to the last conversation, the atmosphere at Uncork’s relaxed, wine-forward space on King Street gave us the perfect backdrop to unwind, share real stories, and reconnect with women leading across technology and business in South Carolina.

We laughed, we vented, we celebrated wins big and small—and left feeling a little lighter and a lot more supported. Huge thanks to the Uncork team for taking such great care of us and creating a warm, welcoming space for meaningful connection. Here’s to more evenings like this as SIM SC Women continues to grow across the state.

SIM SC Women Launch Event

What an incredible night in Columbia SC! On February 27th, SIM SC Women launched in style at Smoked on Main Street, and the energy in the room from the amazing women in technology who joined us was unforgettable.

From meaningful conversations to plenty of laughs over great food and cocktails, the evening was the perfect blend of connection and inspiration in one of downtown Columbia’s most beautiful settings. A huge thank you to our special guest speaker, Chetna Jain, Director of IT for SLED, for sharing her leadership journey and insights on serving South Carolina through technology and innovation.

This is just the beginning for SIM SC Women, and we’re excited to keep building this community of leaders, mentors, and rising stars across the state. If you couldn’t make it this time, stay tuned—there’s much more to come!
