Virtual Roundtable 16: AI Governance: Building a Defensible & Responsible Program

Our second RoundTable event of 2024 will take place on Tuesday, March 26th from noon to 1pm as we discuss 'AI Governance: Building a Defensible and Responsible Program'. This will build on the 'Gen AI Opportunity in the Enterprise' topic from our first RoundTable of 2024.

Given all the hype around Gen AI, businesses have been very eager to embrace the strategic opportunities presented by AI—but existing and emerging laws require a governance program to demonstrate responsible use and creation of AI. AI systems should be developed with an enterprise mindset that aligns with the businesses' ethical values and purpose. The main practical challenges faced by companies building their AI governance framework include ensuring an appropriate balance of interests (between risk management and the concerns of impeding innovation), in a world of increasingly fragmented global AI laws and regulations. Join us for a conversation on how to build an AI program that inspires trust in the light of these quickly evolving technologies, laws and regulations.

We are very fortunate to have Justine Phillips, a partner at the law firm Baker McKenzie, as our subject matter expert for this RoundTable #16. Justine is a leading authority on Cyber and Privacy with obvious overlaps into the Gen AI domain. Justine provides actionable and practical guidance to help businesses manage data, technology, cyber threats, privacy, security and digital assets. Please join us. You will be very happy you did!
