We would like to introduce you to the SIM Tampa Bay Chair for the Academic Council. John Duff is the Dean and Baccalaureate Academic Chair for the College of Computer and Information Technology (CCIT) at St. Petersburg College.
At CCIT, John oversees a program with over 3300 students focused on degrees in a variety of fields in information technology. He holds a Bachelors from Westminster College, and MBA from Bowling Green State University and a Ph.D. from Kent State University. He started his career in technology at AT&T, moved to Ameritech at divestiture, and just prior to taking on the role of dean at St Petersburg College John spent 20 years at Eckerd College.
John is an avid cyclist who plays bass and acoustic guitar in a band and while a fan of the Rays and Bucs, he hails from Pittsburgh and still follows the “home” teams. He and his wife have four children who all graduated from universities in Florida. LinkedIn profile
