Welcome to SIM Tampa Bay Academic Council Shared Interest Group (SIG)

Mission:  To build and nurture mutually beneficial relationships between the technology and academic communities in the Tampa Bay area.

Purpose:  To foster a stronger relationship between academia and industry to assure a strong pipeline of highly trained individuals to fit the needs of local employers.

Meet the Chair - Natasha Veltri, PhD

Natasha

We would like to introduce you to the SIM Tampa Bay Chair for the Academic Council.  Natasha Veltri is a professor of Information & Technology Management at The University of Tampa, where she also serves as the Associate Dean of the Sykes College of Business. Natasha has been teaching at UT since 2007. She received an MBA and a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Central Florida. Passionate about IT education and outreach, Natasha has been involved in promoting interest in Information Technology among middle- and high-school girls in Tampa Bay and increasing the number of female students in UT’s technology-related classes and majors. LinkedIn profile
