Bassam Fawaz, Founder and Managing Principal of QUALIDAS Inc. (www.qualidas.com), is a transformational IT and Operations strategist with over 30 years of progressive management experience strengthening performance at small, medium, and large companies in multiple industries. He has served as Chief Information Officer for international organizations with revenues of up to $6.8 Billion, in the Logistics, Financial & Professional Services, Consumer goods, Aerospace, and Manufacturing industries, and was head of Worldwide Operations with one of the world’s largest premium-toys makers. As principal advisor, he has advised CEOs and Management Boards on the strategic use of information technology and business alignment, led initiatives that delivered improvements at the organizational, system, and business process levels, and presided over global systems implementations and acquisitions integration. He has an extensive experience in building and motivating global organizations, and has managed multinational teams and offshore operations and partners in the US, Europe, China, and India.

He has held senior executive positions at Swiss-based Agility Global Integrated Logistics, EMAK Worldwide, B/E Aerospace, AAR Corp, and most recently at PAAMCO, an institutional investment firm based in Irvine, California.

Bassam was recognized by InformationWeek magazine among the top 500 IT innovators in 2006 and again in 2010. He has been quoted in several publications, and has been a speaker and panelist at IT and Logistics industry conferences in the US and Europe.

Bassam holds a BS degree in Aeronautical Technology and an MBA, and is a Certified Professional in Business Process Management

In addition to his role as Programs Chair on the SCSIM board, Bassam serves on the board of OneOC, an Orange County-based nonprofit that serves as a resource center for other nonprofits as well as a volunteer platform for corporate community engagement, and Families Forward, a nonprofit focused on relieving family homelessness.
