Berhanu Tadesse is the Associate Vice President for Information Technology/Infrastructure Services and Information Security Officer at California State University, Fullerton. He is responsible for ensuring the success of the University Data Center, Server Infrastructure, Telecommunications, Network Infrastructure, and Digital Print Services, and campus Information Security. Berhanu has led many enterprise projects and is currently deploying a cloud infrastructure and Salesforce CRM solution. As the Information Security Officer, Berhanu ensures the campus data and network are protected and security policies and standards are established to minimize risk to the University. Berhanu strives to continually introduce new innovative infrastructure technologies.

Prior to joining California State University, Fullerton, Berhanu served as Director of Infrastructure Services for the California State University (CSU) Chancellor’s Office, the system office for all 23 CSU campuses throughout the state. During Berhanu’s time there, he was able to bring the Infrastructure Services through the time of financial crisis with cost saving solutions while maintaining enterprise services.

Berhanu is a member of the CIO Executive Council, CSUF IT Advisory Committee and has presented at various industry conferences including Educause, ACUTA, IDG IT Roadmap, and CSU Technology Conference. He was also participated in many non-profit organizations including the Tustin School District Technology Advisory Committee, CSU System-wide Alliances, President's Commission on Equity and Inclusion.

Berhanu’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Master of Science in Information Technology from Cal State Fullerton. In addition, he is a member of the CIO Executive Council Pathway Leadership development program and holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications.
