  2. How long have you been a SIM member?
    • I have been a member of SIM MN for over 10 years.
  3. Why do you invest your time in SIM?
    • Because of the great networking and the opportunity to expand my IT knowledge. Over the years, I have met many amazing IT leaders.  These relationships have provided me with knowledge sharing, collaboration and professional development.  The monthly meetings have presentations from industry leaders and small group discussions.  These meetings challenge and expand my understanding of how technology can address business issues, expand my development and the development of my staff.
  4. What is one of the most important lessons you’ve learned in your career?
    • Finding a career that you truly enjoy and it is important to have fun at work. You spend most of your life at work. If you are not happy in your role or career, this will undoubtedly have an adverse effect on your personal life and health.
  5. Tell us about an impactful SIM event that you’ve attended, and what you took away from it.
    • James Dallas spoke at our SIM meeting. Besides being a great speaker, he shared his experience with “Mastering the Challenge of Leading Change”.  He shared his experience with managing transformational and turnaround initiatives, and acquisitions. It was great information and provided tools that I could take back to my company and teams to help with change.
  6. What is one goal you have for 2021?
    • Use technology to make a difference for my aligned business partners.
  7. If you could have 1 day with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
    • I would select Abraham Lincoln. I would love to learn about his struggles and the strength it took to change history and bring peace.  I consider him one of the greatest presidents in history.
